Search for detailing in Travelers Rest and you get a short list. Not a competitive list, a short one. Most of what turns up has never had a customer say a word about the work in public, which is a different situation entirely to Greenville twenty minutes south.
So the practical options up here have been driving down into the city and giving up a morning, or doing it yourself in the driveway. We are the third option, and we bring our own water and power so a gravel drive with no outlet is not a problem.
The vehicles are different too. More trucks that actually tow, more cars that live under trees and collect sap and pollen, and a lot of dust off unpaved drives that a tunnel wash mostly just moves around.
